Various Matrices:

We can analyze a variety of sample types (matrices).  Some of the common sample matrices we analyze are listed below.

    • – Potable Water (Drinking Water)
    • – Non Potable Water (Groundwater, Wastewater, Storm water, etc.)
    • – Soil / Sediment / Sludge
    • – Air
    • – Petroleum (Lubricating Oil, Hydraulic Oil, Fuel Oil)
    • – Bulk (Paint Chips, Asbestos Type Samples)
    • – Paints / Coatings
    • – Unknowns

Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy can also be performed for material identification, such as unknown contaminants in products. For example, FTIR can be used to identify a contaminant in lubricating oil or a contaminant in diesel fuel oil. This is an extremely useful test for insurance claims involving engine oil contamination or fuel contamination.
